In case you guys didn't watch the vlog, I was able to attend the launch party for Ashes at the Changing Hands Bookstore! It was my first book event and I really loved it. The author Ilsa J. Bick was a really wonderful person. I just loved listening to her talk about her book and her life. Anyway that was a super fun event and I can't wait to go to more author events in the future!

I haven't done an IMM in FOREVER. Mostly its because I was in California all summer. Now that I am back I was able to film a vlog and go through all my new books! Unfortunately this vlog is super duper long. I blame it on the fact that I had like a bajillion books to go through..... So if you want to see me embarrass myself, talk about how a book cover reminds me of mormons, and watch as I do an impression of my mother (a poor one at that) and talk about her hilarious obsession with Josh Hutcherson/Peeta Mellark then view on! Otherwise, just scroll to the bottom for the list of bookish goodness. Though I would HIGHLY recommend that you at least skip ahead to around 15:30 when I start talking about the whole mom/Josh Hutcherson thing. Its hilarious. XD

Oh and if you made it through my vlog I really AM curious to know about the Mockingjay thing! Do you think Suzanne Collins really does hint at "something" happening between Katniss and Peeta at the end of Mockingjay (before the epilogue obviously!)? Or do you think that people are analyzing things just a little bit too much? If you don't want to watch the whole vlog but are curious to see what I'm talking about just go to the 4 minute mark in the movie and watch to the end.

I saw I Am Number Four yesterday and it was FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. Everyone should head on down to the theatre and see it. It was definitely one of those see in theatre movies because action scenes are always better on the big screen and there were lots of fun jump out of your seat moments. Seriously. Go see it. You won't be disappointed.

In My Mailbox [9] OH MY GOSH I MADE A VLOG! :D

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted over at the lovely blog The Story Siren. The point is to blog about books that you have somehow procured during the week!

So I had been entertaining the thought of doing vlogs for IMM for awhile now because it just seemed like it would be a fun thing to do and I thought it would be easy since my laptop has a webcam that I can record on. Haha. Little did I know it would be a little trickier than just popping open my laptop and hitting record. My experience went something like this:

1st Vlog Attempt: Bad lighting. Good thing I realized this like 2 minutes into the video. Hehe.

2nd Vlog Attempt: At the very end of the movie my computer goes into screensaver mode and stops recording!!! CURSES!!!!

3rd Vlog Attempt: Computer goes into screensaver mode AGAIN. Needless to say I changed the screensaver settings this time....

4th Vlog Attempt: WAY too long. It was like nearly 20 minutes. I talk too much.....

5th-6th Vlog Attempt: Still too long!

7th Vlog Attempt: Finally short enough! But what is this? THE SOUND DIDN'T RECORD?!?!?! GAHHHH. :/

8th Vlog Attempt: FINALLY!!!!!! SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

As you can see it was way more complicated then I anticipated. Hehe. I still don't know why that one video didn't record sound.... mysterious. Clearly my computer hates me or something. :P The important thing is that I actually did get one that's presentable though right? Hope you guys like it! (and for the record I realized AFTER I recorded this that Dutch isn't Danish because the Dutch are from Holland and the Danish are from Denmark. Fail. :P) Oh and am I the only one who thinks that YouTube must use the most disgusting part of the video to put as like the main video still??? Gehhh.
